I'm not a big fan of our 24-hour cable channel news mentality. News has evolved from a necessary tool of an involved citizen to an entertainment format focused on arguing and hatred. (Yes, I'm talking about all of them regardless of their political agendas.) I'm reading today that we are bored with the Gulf oil spill. How can we focus on this complicated story when LeBron is moving to Miami and Lindsay is moving to a country jail cell (for an hour or two most likely.)
